Who or what is a Bridge-
builder

On November 5, 2026  - on the anniversary of our city! - we will shine a spotlight on one or more Bridge-builders. Just because they deserve it.

In Roosendaal, the most beautiful things often happen unexpectedly. Just… because someone has a good heart.

A Bridge Builder is such a person. An ordinary resident of Roosendaal who quietly does something special.

Something that may seem small, but is of great value to someone else. Someone who connects people/organizations/associations, fills a gap, and makes that difference where no one else thought of. They initiate something – for children, adults, neighbors, or strangers – and ensure that no one has to face it alone.

They do it not for fame, applause, or a ribbon. It's about the people. About the city and connection. And that is exactly what makes them so valuable. Because through their efforts, connection, hope, and color are created in Roosendaal.
